assignment:What products make up the Hatchery? This is an extremely important element of the design puzzle, as without this knowledge, it is impossible to sculpt a clear vision for the store. Investigate, explore, postulate. What departments on campus are likely to produce something that would be sold in the gallery? What form would these items take? Refer back to your precedent analysis: what items do other university-related shops house? Compile your ideas in an illustrated list on your blog. Consider a campus photo hunt as one way to define and illuminate this list.
student success center:
this on campus center offers tutors and is composed of 3 academic support services: the learning assistance center, special support services, and supplimental instruction program.


art department:
the art department can sell student art work in the gallery as well as display installations from their students.



theatre department:
the theatre department can offer a variety of performances.


music department:
this department can produce live performances, from solo artists to group bands. the department could also send music students to the gallery to give music lessons in one of the conference/rehearsal rooms.





iarc:
we can offer student work to be displayed as well as hold seminars and meetings through iida and invite professinals to come speak about topics that concern iarc students.
